“La Compagnie Des Aspirateurs” - Vacuum Cleaner Store. At least one of the machines in the pictures doesn’t suck.
One of the places I looked forward to visiting in Paris is the “Les Catacombes de Paris”. At the end of the 18th century, Paris’ cemeteries have been overloaded after ten centuries of use. In order to make more room and prevent diseases, bones were moved to abandoned underground quarries.
The place charges 8 euros, you go down about 130 steps and after some winding tunnels, you reach the ossuary. Piles of skeletons 5 feet high on your left and right sides for what seemed like miles around. A French tour guide scolded me because my camera was beeping - “Silence!”. The guy had the gall to think I don’t respect the dead, yet he’s the one who charges money for people to see this! Ah well. At least the 83 steps going back up was manageable.
Anyway, whatever you think about Paris, know that even the City of Lights has its skeletons.

Notes: Take the Metro to “Place Denfert Rochereau”
